Richard Schauerte has loved making art ever since he was a young boy and started drawing. By the time he reached his 30’s, he realized that he wanted to make a career out of it. He began experimenting with various mediums and explored a variety of products such as carving intricate scenes into deer antlers, creating water fountains from tufa rock, and trying his hand at wood sculptures. After a decade, he decided to pick up his welder again, which was a trade he went to school for and is very talented at fabricating. He then began his journey of creating metal art and the rest is history! His sales at farmers markets and craft shows quickly sky rocketed and he found his passion for art really paid off. Over the following years, Richard continued to develop skills and efficiency to design unique quality items which he sold to many people around the world. Most recently, he has taken all his knowledge and craft secrets and has created a series of books to help inspire future artists, as well as create new ones. He believes that art is something that we all need in our lives, even for those who don’t quite realize it yet.
